Graduation Requirements for B.A. in English Linguistics and Literature (IU Program)

In order to be eligible for graduation assessment, students majoring in English Linguistics and Literature (IU Program) must complete the following requirements:

  1. High school diploma
  2. Required extracurricular training points
  3. Completion of political classes and contents in Annual Political Education (at the beginning of the program, at the beginning of the school year, in the middle of the program, and at the end of the program)
  4. Military Education Certificate (MP001IU)
  5. Physical Training Certificate (Physical Training)
  6. Second Foreign Language Certificate (B1 Level)
  7. Completion of the B.A. program of English Linguistics and Literature and accumulation of the number of credits required in the program
  8. Completion of thesis revisions required by Thesis Defense Committee

Students can submit the required certificates at any time during the program. Deadlines for submitting the required certificates to the Office of Academic Affairs for graduation assessment must be no later than 01 month before any graduation assessment (according to the academic calendar).

In case students have not completed the requirements above before the deadlines, students must be responsible for any delayed graduation assessment.

Students should refer to Regulations on Credit-based Undergraduate Training at International University (No. 719/QĐ-ĐHQT, 06/12/2021).

  1. I have taken the course of Physical Training 2 (PT002IU) twice, but I haven’t taken Physical Training 1 (PT001IU). Will I be granted the Physical Training Certificate?

No. Students must complete the two courses of Physical Training 1 (PT001IU) and Physical Training 2 (PT002IU).

  1. Are students majoring in English Linguistics and Literature required to submit English certificates like the IELTS or TOEFL iBT for graduation assessment?
