- Course description: In this course, students have a chance to develop their listening skills through 10 units of general but up-to-date topics such as “How is science changing the food we eat?” Each unit will provide students with relevant vocabulary items, various listening activities (such as filling in blanks, completing charts, completing questionnaires, etc.), and discussion questions to help students draw their own conclusions on the topic. Through these units, students can practice basic listening skills such as listening for main ideas and details, and have an exposure to more advanced skills like taking notes and predicting the content of the listening passages.
