Career overview:
Thang completed his MA in English Language Teaching at Nottingham Trent University (UK) in 2019. Prior to his studies, he has worked in a number of projects to promote language learning autonomy at self-access language learning centers. He also taught English as a second language to university and adults learners.
Research Interest:
Thang is interested in any and all aspects of pragmatics and discourse analysis. His research involves the use of formulaic language in the naturalistic environment (e.g. study abroad) as well as in contexts where English is the medium of instruction (EMI), and applications to language learning and teaching. He is also particularly interested in conducting needs analysis for ESP courses (e.g. English for Film Directors).
